Through the mobile application Layar, Gothenburg have created the city's official visitors guide for smartphones. Cityguide to Gothenburg is a so-called augmented reality-layer packed with tourist information about our town. In order to use the application you need a mobile with GPS and Magno feet, eg IPhone 3Gs or HTC Hero.


How to download our mobile application:

How to use the mobile application?

You can use Cityguide to Gothenburg in three modes. The first mode shows the town through your camera phone. By holding your mobile phone and point it at a building or a street, the screen will show go: -icons. They symbolize attractions, restaurants, accommodation or activities. All the tourist information is from goteborg.com.


By clicking on the go: icon, you can read more about the item. If you want to get there you can get directions directly into your device.


You can also choose to see the items in a list view or in map view.
