    It is easy and fun to shop for vintage and second-hand bargains in Gothenburg. You’ll find everything here from smart antique shops to large flea markets offering antiques, exclusive vintage fashion, unusual accessories and traditional china.


    The picturesque main street of Haga is lined with small vintage clothes shops. This is the place to hunt for fantastic 1920s dresses, hats with veils and tailored coats. On one of the side streets is Bebop Antik, a furniture and furnishing shop that specialises in Scandinavian design from the mid-twentieth century. This is the place to find missing pieces for your 1960s Upsala-Ekeby dinner service or the perfect fifties armchair for your living room.

    On the popular Magasinsgatan in central Gothenburg there are several shops offering selected second-hand items. Miss Ragtime and Ragtime Herr are next door to each other and sell fine local second-hand clothing. You will find everything here from last season’s Acne dresses to old-fashioned tweed jackets. Across the road is Popboutique, a British concept store with a sixties’ vibe.

    Beyond Retro is another popular vintage chain located in Arkaden shopping centre. Inside, you are greeted with an explosion of colour, with clothing, shoes and accessories from floor to ceiling.
