This island in the southern archipelago has around 450 inhabitants and picturesque settlements. Walk around the uninhabited parts of the island to the scenic view at the top of Valen hill or to Kvistevik bathing area. The island has a shop, a local heritage museum and Mathiasson's farm which can be booked for visits.
Across the Asperö is Rivö located, which has given its name to the fjord outside. During the summer, there are a lot of kayak visitors comming to enjoy the nature on the island. On Asperö you'll find excellent walking and jogging trails. From the mountain Valen, you have a splendid view over the port of Gothenburg.

By car to Saltholmen:
From the city, drive west and follow the signs to Långedrag.

From Saltholmen you catch the ferry to Asperö. You can use the same ticket as for the rest of the public transport network.
