Brännö

  • Archipelago
Address: Brännö
Brännö is a lively island in the southern part of Gothenburgs archipelago with just over 800 inhabitants. Different to the other islands, it has relied on farming, piloting boats and shipping as its main sources of income. Lasse Dahlqvist, a ballad composer, lived here and made the island famous through his ballads.
The island has a bakery, café, pizzeria and shop/post office. Overnight accommodation, bike rentals and lovely walks are available.
Ramdsal is perfect for families that wants to spend a day by the beach.
Plenty of activities in the summer, for example the Brännö ballad festival and the traditional dance on Brännö's quay at Husvik.

Other:

All islands in the southern archipelago are car-free.
