Bio Capitol is an older smaller movie theater at Skanstorget. It shows films Tuesday, Saturday and Sunday in the big auditorium with 206 seats. Bio Capitol opened 1988 but the venue has, under various names, been used as a cinema since 1941.
Bio Capitol is run by Cinemateket. All Cinematekets cinemas give you access to the entire film history, ranging from silent film and live music to film that is so new that it has not yet reached the Swedish cinemas. Bio Capitol has no website or internet booking service. Tickets can be booked by phone or bought right before the film starts. It's almost always tickets left.
