PADDAN
The classic city tour on the Paddan boats shows off the beauty of Gothenburg from a waterside perspective. THE WHEEL OF GOTHENBURG
Located on Kanaltorget, next to the Opera and Älvrummet. Step onboard one of the glass-enclosed gondolas and let yourself be taken on a 60-metre high round trip with spectacular views of the city.
RINGLINIEN VINTAGE TRAM
Every summer and winter you can travel on a vintage tram through the streets of central Gothenburg. And, if it's your lucky day, you may get to travel in the 100-year-old carriage.

LISEBERG
Scandinavia’s biggest amusement park. Rides and attractions, Sweden’s top musical artists, fun games and beautiful flower gardens.

UNIVERSEUM
The national science discovery centre for all the family. Indoor rainforests, giant aquariums, and experiment workshops.
GÖTEBORG MUSEUM OF ART
The world's leading museum of Nordic art with master pieces from the 15th century and onwards, for example Carl Larsson, Anders Zorn, P S Kröyer and Edvard Munch. Wander around five centuries of art with artwork by Rembrandt, Rubens, Monet, Picasso and Chagall.

RÖHSSKA MUSEUM (Swedish design)
Sweden’s Museum of Fashion, Design and Decorative Arts. See temporary exhibitions on design, colour and function. The museum also exhibits Chinese handicrafts, 18th century furniture and tableware, The Röhsska Museum history of design and Japanese design.
THE EAST INDIAMAN
The original East Indiaman ran aground and was shipwrecked coming into Gothenburg on 12 September 1745. The ship was loaded with tea, silk, spices, and others goods from China. It nearly reached home after its third trip to China lasting 30 months. The 2nd October 2005 marked an historical occasion. For the first time in 260 years, an East Indiaman ship set sail from a Swedish harbour to embark on an expedition to China.
THE VOLVO MUSEUM
The museum shows Volvo’s development from its foundation in 1927 until today. It contains around 100 vehicles and engines, including cars, trucks, buses, contracting machinery, marine and industrial engines, aviation engines and concept vehicles.
MARITIMAN
The world’s largest floating ship museum. Restaurant, café and maritime gift shop.
Other places worth visiting
FESKEKYRKA
The Fish Church is something spectacular: a covered fish market in a previous church, housing one of the city's oldest trades: fishing. As well as having a fish market there is a fish- and seafood restaurant in the building.
OLD TOWN - HAGA
In Haga, the old quarter, wooden houses nestle along the cobbled streets, and there is an interesting mix of second-hand shops, antique stores and fashion boutiques. Don’t forget to stop off for coffee at one of the many charming cafés.
KUNGSPORTSAVENYN - THE AVENUE
The most fashionable street in the city. This street links Kungsportsbron Bridge with Götaplatsen, the cultural centre with the statue of Poseidon in the middle of the fountain.
Parks and Gardens
GOTHENBURG'S BOTANICAL GARDEN
Sweden’s biggest –and considered by many to be the finest – botanical garden in Northern Europe with some 20,000 species. A stunning park with herb gardens, a bamboo grove, a Japanese valley, an arboretum with forest plants from all over the world, rock gardens and hothouses with orchids. Restaurant and café.
THE SLOTTSSKOGEN PARK
The park is always open. A meeting-place for locals and visitors alike. Seal pond, Nordic animals such as elks and deer. Sweden’s oldest children's zoo is always popular with children (open in summer).
TRÄDGÅRDSFÖRENINGEN
The horticultural garden (entrance included in the Gothenburg City Card). A central park opened in 1842. Home to a rosarium, beautiful flowerbeds and the Palm House with rainforest and Mediterranean environments.
