A sustainable Welcome programme

Göteborg will be a sustainable city, open to the world and the city has high sustainability ambitions. We are working to make sure that this also goes for Student Göteborg 2015. The welcome programme should be welcoming, open and inclusive, and we want to encourage sustainable travel and transport, and everyone should be able to easily get to and from an activity by public transport, bicycle or on foot.

Through systematic environmental work Student Göteborg 2015 has been awarded with an environmental diploma for implementation of measures satisfying the criteria in the Swedish Environmental Base standard requirements.

Actions taken are for example that all the refreshments that will be served are organic / eco-labeled and vegetarian options are available. We are working actively with recycling and it has been an active decision not to produce any printed material. We rent the props alternatively re-use to reduce the amount of the purchase and the amount of waste.

Read more about an environmental diploma at svenskmiljobas.se. The diploma itself is also available as PDF.
