In September 2016, chef Johan Malm won the World Oyster Opening Championship for a second time. The championship took place in Galway and it took Johan Malm 2,57 minutes to open 30 oysters. The chef is passionate about oysters and especially about the ones from the Swedish west-coast which he considers the best in the world.
The lunch menu at Restaurang Gabriel changes on a daily basis, depending on season and availability. Some of the dishes are true classics, and has been on the menu for 25 years, such as the lemon sole with mushrooms and melted butter. The restaurant also hosts events and wedding receptions.
