The museum wants to be an arena for discussion and reflection in which many and different voices will be heard, where the controversial and conflict-filled topics can be addressed, as well as a place where people can feel at home across borders and take responsibility for a common global future in an ever-changing world.

The museum works with temporary exhibitions seen from an international perspective. Besides the exhibitions, the museum have a rich programme with everything from film and theatre to seminars, festivals and performances. Always with the person in the centre.

The magnificent building was designed by London based architects Cécile Brisac and Edgar Gonzales.
