Gothenburg - A tasteful destination
Gothenburg Restaurant Association “Taste of Gothenburg” was founded in 1999 as a collaboration between Göteborg & Co and some restaurateurs in Gothenburg, partly to strengthen and profile Gothenburg as a culinary destination. But also to promote the members financial interests. The association is a cooperation between 46 restaurants. Among the restaurants you’ll find great variety ranging from first class gourmet restaurants to trendy newcomers and street food.
Taste of Gothenburg also has a mission to strengthen the relationship with local producers and suppliers as well as working together to ensure a high level of quality of the ingredients the restaurants are working with. A prerequisite to be a part of the Taste of Gothenburg is to be a member of Visita – the Swedish Hospitality Board, to have a public restaurant located in Gothenburg and also, to be environmentally certified by the City of Gothenburg Enviroment Administration year 2015 at the latest.
