Along the coastline outside of Gothenburg, the archipelago spreads out like a string of islands. Just a short journey from central Gothenburg, you can stroll among picturesque alleys, lovely beaches, in nature reserves and along fine walking paths. Gothenburg's archipelago with its harbours, bays, islands, and the wonderful population is a unique experience. In addition, there are plenty of activities where seal safaris, fishing trips, exciting food experiences, swimming and boat trips are just a few.

Sällskapet Ångbåten
Sällskapet Ångbåten owns and operates summer boat traffic with the steamboat Ångaren Bohuslän. It is the west coast’s last archipelago steamer and Sweden’s largest steam-powered ship in regular operation – a living ship museum. Bohuslän runs both evening trips in the Gothenburg archipelago and longer trips to various islands and ports up north.
