Augustifamiljen, April 27
Regardless if preforming by them selves or with support, on big or small stages, they are capturing their audience with their sound and great energy. The Gothenburg based band Augustifamiljen, along with guests, are doing their only spring gig at Liseberg and the stage Lilla Scenen on April 27.
Crew of Me & You, May 4
Known from The Sounds, Maja Ivarsson and Felix Rodriguez has formed the band Crew of Me and You. Inspired by the 90s electronic techno scene they have created a playful and provocative sound. On May 4 they will be taking over the stage Lilla Scenen.
Hardcore Superstar, May 11
Last fall the metal band from Gothenburg released their 11th album – You can’t kill my rock n’ roll – a record filled with self confidence and attitude. Hardcore Superstar will on May 11 grab the stage Lilla Scenen with that same confidence, and they will be ready to rock!
Smith & Thell, May 18
In the spring of 2019 the duo Smith & Thell went straight to the chart Svensktoppen with their new track Forgive me friend and got hold of the first place. The song has also been trending Spotify’s top 5 charts during the spring. On May 18 the duo and their country-influenced pop sound will be performing at the stage Lilla Scenen.
Caroline af Ugglas, May 23
Caroline Af Ugglas is perhaps most known for her music and performances in the annual music contest Melodifestivalen, but what few people might know is that she’s also the brains behind the American concept Clash of the Choirs. Last year she released the album VarförDärför and when she takes the stage in May we can look forward to listening to new as well as old tracks.
Livefest, May 24
Liseberg invites us to an evening filled with Swedish Hiphop and R&B as four of Sweden’s most interesting artists enters both stages in the amusement park. Kicking off the evening is AMWIN, followed by Cherrie, Ison & Fille and Z.E. No doubt the festival feeling will spread throughout the area! For more information go to Livefest on Liseberg’s website.
Pale Honey, May 25
Childhood friends Tuva Lodmark and Nelly Daltrey have been creating music together ever since primary school. Their minimalistic indie rock got great attention in 2014 with the release of the debut-EP Fiction. At the P3Guld Awards, earlier this year, they were nominated in the categories Group of the year and Rock of the year.
Plura, May 30
Plura Jonsson is a Swedish legend, to say the least. As his former band Eldkvarn took a break in 2016, Plura continued his own creative process and later went on tour around Sweden. Currently he’s in the TV show Stjärnornas Stjärna, where the participants compete in different genres of music.
Peg Parnevik & Mares, May 31
Kicking off the evening of May 31 is nobody less than Peg Parnevik. Perfectly timed on this year’s international womens day she released her new single Goodbye boy, about saying goodbye to anything holding you back from living your best life. The evening continues as Mares with their fresh pop, and brand-new music, enters the stage!
Samir and Victor & LBSB, June 6
On June 6, which also happens to be the National Day of Sweden, LBSB is kicking off the evening with their electronic vibes and dance friendly tunes. Followed by the inseparable duo, Samir and Victor, and when they’re on stage. Well. The energy just keeps on flowing.
Albin Lee Meldau, June 7
Like a bolt from the blue Albin Lee Meldau and his debut-single Lou Lou took the world by storm in 2016. His incredible voice captures the audience and as one of Sweden’s most interesting artists at the moment, this will be a night no one wants to miss out on. The neo-soul genre has been given a new reference point and no wonder he’s been compared to other great artists such as Sam Smith and James Blake.
Tove Styrke & Imenella, June 12
She had a breakthrough with the single Chagga, released in 2018 and now the rapper Imenella is on everyone’s lips. She's also kicking off the evening of June 12 at the main stage in the amusement park and is later followed by Tove Styrke. Tove and her latest album Sway has been celebrated nationally as well as internationally. During last year she visited various stages around the world and amongst other things she acted support for Katy Perry and Lorde – this evening she will be performing at the main stage of Liseberg for the very first time!
Lotta på Liseberg, June 17 - August 12
What would a summer at Liseberg be if not for the Monday sing-alongs? On June 17 its finally this season’s singalong-premiere! Lotta Engberg together with the Lotta-orchestra, led by Andreas Landegren, and a bunch of guest artists will for eight Mondays be broadcasting live from the amusement park. For those who can’t attend, the sparkling summer show will be shown at the tv channels TV4 and TV4Play. Keep track of Liseberg’s website for more information about the artists, the dates and tickets.
Fricky, June 19
During the latest year Fricky has hardly escaped anyone’s radar. The Swedish hiphop wonder recently won several music titles and thousands of fans – spice things up with millions of streams and it absolutely makes sense that Fricky is here to stay.
Dee Snider (US), June 26
Perhaps best known as lead singer and songwriter of the heavy metal band Twister Sister, and as the man behind true classics as We’re not gonna take it and I wanna rock, Dee Snider is now taking over the main stage at Liseberg! His latest album For the love of metal was praised by both critics and fans – and we are predicting an energetic evening in the true name of metal.
Peter Jöback, June 28
Peter Jöback is one of Swedens most beloved artists, and last summer his two concerts at the theatre Stora Teatern sold out in only a couple of hours. A night filled with old hits, new tracks, and lots of energy is what to expect as Jöback is entering the main stage at Liseberg on June 28.
Timbuktu & Damn!, July 3
Jason Timbuktu Diakite is one of Sweden’s most edgy hiphop artists and ever since the start of his career, in the late 90s, he’s been spitting out important society depictions. Through this he has also become a significant voice in our society. Last fall, Timbuktu in collaboration with the band Damn! dropped the album Kärlekens bladband. On July 3 Timbuktu and Damn! are grabbing hold of the main stage in the amusement park.
Band of Horses (US), July 5
The Seattle based band Band of Horses has given us many beloved tracks, two of them being Funeral and No one’s gonna love you. Last time they performed in Sweden was at Way out West in 2017 and now they are finally back in town! This time Liseberg's main stage Stora Scenen.
John Fogerty (US), July 10
On July 10 rock n’ roll dynamo and Creeence Clearwater Revival icon John Fogerty is grabbing hold of the main stage Stora Scenen at Liseberg. As part of his 50th anniversary tour he’ll be visiting Gothenburg. Without doubt an evening to look forward to as Fogerty with his ground-breaking sound and suggestive lyrics will capture the audience.
Hurula, July 26
Hurula has become known as one of the strongest live acts with hundreds of concerts throughout Scandinavia. Just recently he released his most personal album yet – Klass. On July 26 he’s performing at the stage Stora Scenen at Liseberg.
Danko Jones (CA) & Hank von Hell (NO), July 31
July 31 will be a night full of rock at Liseberg's main stage Stora Scenen. First out is Norwegian Hank von Hell who is later followed by the band Danko Jones. The Canadian rock band is well known for their exceptional live performances and we predict that this evening will be energetic as ever before.
Linnea Henriksson & Markus Krunegård, August 2
Two of the greatest Swedish artists are performing on the same night. Last year Markus Krunegård released a new album, and through that he re-established himself on the Swedish pop scene. He is followed by Linnea Henriksson, winner in the category Pop of the year at this years Swedish Grammis Awards.
John Lindberg Trio & WilmerX, August 7
Swedish trio John Lindberg Trio is kicking off the evening and is later followed by WilmerX who after a 40 year long career and an undying love for rhythm ‘n blues, garage rock and raw blues continues their journey at the main stage at Liseberg!
Sven-Bertil Taube, August 17
Sven-Bertil Taube is one of Sweden’s most beloved artists. Previous fall the album Så länge skutan kan gå, vol 2 was released, and contained new recordings of Evert Taubes famous songs Sjösalavår and Änglamark. On August 17 Sven-Bertil is finally doing his annual summer concert at Liseberg’s main stage.
Molly Sandén, August 23
Molly Sandén is one of the major voices in Sweden and Scandinavia. Last year she released her platinum selling album Större, praised by both critics and fans and just recently she released a new single called Den som e den – which during the spring has parked itself on Spotify’s top 50 chart. In August she’s once again taking over the main stage at Liseberg!
Kraftwerk 3D (DE), August 30
Since the 70s Kraftwerk have developed new sounds within multiple genres. On August 30 the German band is presenting a powerful 3D-show and will be taking the audience through decades in the perfect mix between music and performance art.
