From October 29, there are local Covid-19 recommendations in Gothenburg as follows:
- Avoid indoor environments like shops, shopping centres, museums, libraries, swimming facilities and gyms. Grocery stores and pharmacies are not included.
- Avoid participating in meetings, concerts, shows and sports events.
- Avoid physical contact with people from another household. This includes arranging or participating in parties or similar social events.

At Göteborg-Landvetter Airport, there are various safety measures in place.
The shuttle bus service Flygbussarna, as well as the major taxi operators, have also taken measures to ensure your safety.
Gothenburg's city centre is very compact and you can walk basically everywhere. Public transport is operating as usual but please avoid travelling during rush hour.
Hotels and restaurants
The hotels in Gothenburg have made adjustments in order to ensure a safe stay, providing alternative check-in/check-out procedures as well as special breakfast and cleaning arrangements. Visita, the sector and employers’ organisation for the Swedish tourism industry, have launched the campaign Safe to visit, with measures to prevent the spread of infection in restaurants, campsites and hotels.
