Ersdalen is located on the north-western side of the island Hönö in the Gothenburg archipelago. The natural area is varied and offers spectacular surroundings, including rolling rock left since the inland ice retreated 12,000 years ago.

Ersdalen is a popular bouldering spot, with hundreds of boulder problems with varying degrees of difficulty. Many of the rock formations are located close to the water and offer a unique climbing experience. You don’t have to be a bouldering expert to enjoy the rocks though, just exploring the area is an adventure in itself. You can walk along the path from the parking lot, until you you see the sea on the west side.
