Historic Advent weekends at Nääs Castle

Christmas market
Time: 11:00–16:00.
In and around the old stable, close to Kaffestugan and Slottsboden, you will find a small, carefully selected range of exhibitors offering arts and crafts and locally produced food. Exhibitors vary between the two weekends.
Guided Christmas tours of the house
Experience the unique interiors and festive atmosphere of Nääs Slott, beautifully decorated for Christmas. During the guided tour, you will hear about the history of Nääs and Christmas traditions of the past, and see the magnificent Christmas tree in the hall, decorated in period style. Tickets are limited and advance booking is recommended. In Swedish, see the ticket link in the right-hand column.
Mulled wine in the historic kitchen
Time: 11:00–16:00.
Warm up with a glass of glögg, Swedish mulled wine, served by maids and footmen in the historic kitchen.
Kaffestugan
Time: 11:00–16:00.
Enjoy rice pudding, Christmas sandwiches and Advent coffee in the cosy Kaffestugan next to Nääs Slott. Here you can experience the food culture of the turn of the 20th century in an authentic rural setting. Both the food and baked goods are inspired by what might have been served at Nääs in the late 19th and early 20th centuries.
Slottsboden
Time: 11:00–16:00.
Find thoughtful Christmas gifts at the cosy Nääs Slottsbod, housed in the old granary next to the house. The shop offers both new items with a nostalgic feel and a selection of antiques.
Horse and carriage rides
Time: 12:00–15:00.
Enjoy a horse-drawn carriage ride through the grounds.
Traditional Christmas music and St Stephen’s procession
Enjoy traditional Christmas music and period songs performed by Nääs Julkör.
Dancing around the Christmas tree
Join in the traditional dancing around the Christmas tree in front of the house, with festive fun for children and adults alike.
Christmas adventure for the whole family
Time: 11:00–15:00.
In the outdoor Christmas Adventure at Nääs Slott, children and adults can work together to find Christmas sacks hidden around the grounds before setting off in search of Father Christmas himself, where a Christmas present awaits. You may even encounter the slightly mischievous Christmas goat, who considers himself the true star of Christmas. Maps can be purchased from Slottsboden and include a Christmas present from Father Christmas.
