With crystal-clear voices and an age-old sound, world-renowned women’s choir Bulgarian Voices Angelite present an experience beyond the ordinary. Tight harmonies and hypnotic rhythms unite the Bulgarian folk tradition with timeless beauty.

Bulgarian Voices Angelite’s international range is impressive: they have performed on major stages in Europe, the US, Japan and India, and have sung at events such as the Nobel Prize concert in Oslo.

For decades, Bulgarian Voices Angelite were largely unknown, but years after the fall of the Iron Curtain, the singers enchanted the world with their mystical, nearly cryptic way of singing – distinctive rhythmic shifts, often dissonant harmonies, and without vibrato.

The Bulgarian choral phenomenon has established their own authentic style by finding inspiration from classical music and genres such as rock, jazz and throat singing (they have released several albums in collaboration with Mongolian Huun-Huur-Tu). At the same time, they have preserved their Balkan heritage, with tones infused with a timeless language.
