Vocal Art Ensemble with the folk music group Jaerv

Vocal Art Ensemble of Sweden has for decades been a strong voice in Swedish and international choral music – always moving forward with curiosity, commitment and a willingness to challenge boundaries. Over the years, the choir has been engaged for concerts, opera productions and recordings together with Gothenburg Symphony Orchestra and The Göteborg Opera. They have also collaborated with a long list of well-known Swedish artists, including Lisa Nilsson, Tommy Körberg, Bo Kaspers, Magnus Carlson and Stefan Nilsson.

The folk music group Jaerv is an award-winning quintet that performs energetic, heartfelt and outward-looking folk music. With genuine joy in their playing, the group creates swirling melodies using both instruments and their five voices, with a warm and rich vocal sound that gives a distinctive character to Swedish folk music. Jaerv has received several awards and grants from, among others, the Royal Swedish Academy of Music, the Swedish Arts Council and The American-Swedish Foundation.
