The competitions mark the start of the countdown to the 2027 Pétanque World Championships, which will be hosted in Gothenburg, Scandinavium. During the week, competitors will contest 28 Swedish Championship titles across four mixed triples, one generations triple, five mixed doubles, six singles events, six triples and six doubles.

The Championships are open to players who are members of a club affiliated with Svenska Bouleförbundet and who hold a valid competition license.

The venue for the Swedish Pétanque Championships will be on the pier Bananpiren in Frihamnen. Here you’ll be able to enjoy great food and drinks and even try the sport yourself. Free admission for spectators.

The Swedish Pétanque Championships is a recurring championship that was held for the first time in 1978 in Bara, Skåne. In 2026, the championships return for its 46th edition. Pétanque is an inclusive sport played by people of all generations and ages, ranging from 7 to 98.
