Christian Nanou has finally released his debut album Yako.
Yako is a common expression in Côte d’Ivoire, used to show empathy and support. For Christian, it also symbolises the feeling he wants each track on the album to convey. Now, together with his outstanding band, he embarks on his first-ever tour.
The 22-year-old artist, songwriter and producer creates Swedish-language pop infused with R&B. He made his debut last year with the single Håll om mig, followed by Kontakt, which received warm praise from Per Sinding-Larsen on SVT’s Morgonstudion. This autumn he released his critically acclaimed debut EP Stockholm, which earned him a Grammis Award for Best R&B/Soul.
