“Now a Thousand Christmas Candles Are Lit” or “Silent Night”?
Which is your favourite in this grand Christmas carol sing-along?
Christmas Carols in the City promises a warm festive spirit beyond the commercial buzz. That was exactly the intention when it all began back in the 1960s – Bo Eek, who still leads the singing, was a young priest then and one of those who wanted to highlight the rich tradition of Christmas music and its message, rather than the shopping frenzy surrounding the Cathedral. A message just as important today, in a world that needs sustainability more than things.
Come along and rehearse, so you can sing at home with family and friends! Choirs and musicians will guide you. Songbook with sheet music and lyrics is free, and entry is free of charge.
