Following the success of their acclaimed debut album On Tempo and live release Under The Radar, Danish quartet Clapper return with their new album With Friends, out November 6.
The album expands Clapper’s signature sound with an international line-up of guest artists, including Walter Smith III, Sanyu, Musina Ebobisse, Mathias Heise, Oilly Wallace, Ronja Rose Andersson and Jonas Due.
Blending soul jazz, instrumental hip-hop and R&B with world-class improvisation, With Friends is rooted in collaboration, experimentation and creative trust. Each guest brings their own character while remaining part of Clapper’s distinctive collective sound.
The core quartet – Frederik Emil Bülow (drums), Adrian Christensen (bass), Jeppe Lavsen (guitar) and Malthe Jepsen (Rhodes & synth) – continue to create dynamic arrangements, sharp rhythmic shifts and the live energy that has become central to the band’s identity.
