His debut album Bad With Names was nominated for the 2024 Mercury Prize and won Best Album at the Scottish Jazz Awards. In 2025, he followed up with Act Of The Year, winning the Jazz FM Audience Award and UK Independent Breakthrough at the AIM Awards.
Now signed to Ninja Tune, he has released a string of singles including Don’t Listen, Vandal and April feat. anaiis, blending jazz, club music, hip hop, soul and electronic influences. The tracks have received major international radio support, with Don’t Listen also featured on the FC26 soundtrack.
Over the past two years, corto.alto has played more than 150 shows worldwide, including Glastonbury, We Out Here, Montreux and North Sea Jazz, as well as a sold-out 2,000-capacity show at Glasgow’s Barrowland Ballroom.
Supported by names such as Gilles Peterson, Jamie Cullum and BBC Radio 6 Music, he represents a new generation of artists blurring the lines between jazz, beats and club culture.
