With Radio Resistance, Daniel Lemma and the Hot This Year Band complete their reggae trilogy, following Common Ground (2016) and Punch Of Love (2019). The result is their sharpest collaboration yet, a rhythm-driven statement rooted in both timeless reggae and the urgency of today.

Blending roots reggae, soul, and gospel, the album reflects a world shaped by disinformation, division, and power struggles, while still carrying a strong sense of hope, unity, and resilience. Tracks like “Radio Resistance,” “Grifters Paradise,” and “We Are The People” channel both frustration and forward momentum, while softer moments like “High Over The Moon” add warmth and balance.

Recorded with a live feel, the album highlights the band’s tight interplay and organic groove, where message and music move as one.

Radio Resistance isn’t just an album, it’s a statement on the power of music to bring people together.

Released May 29 via Dextra Music, followed by a live show and release party at Nefertiti Jazz Club.
