dead dead document is a choreographic project in which a series of artist books follows and traces relationships to a dance that is, in itself, devoid of content. The dance takes its time and attaches itself to the people and places that give it form. It asks how a living work can carry material with it and how it should relate to the memories and expectations that exist in the spaces it occupies.

Welcome to the launch of the series’ second book, featuring the essay *The Nothing* by dance artist Lisa Schåman.

Over the course of three hours, *dead dead document* opens up spaces within and between rooms at Skogen. Here, various materials coexist in a choreography that brings together dance, text, sound, and other objects from a process fragmented across Soup is available in the kitchen, and as a visitor, you’re invited to spend time exploring different perspectives. You’re welcome to read and listen, eat and converse, stay as long as you like, or come and go as you please.

dead dead document was initiated by choreographer Oda Brekke in 2021 and has since been developed in collaboration with dance artists Lisa Schåman, Tuuli Vahtola, and Maia Means. The group has explored how the experimental and questioning process that often kicks off a project can continue even after the premiere. How can the ideas and questions that motivate a work be allowed to develop and be renegotiated in relation to everything that changes over time?

The artist books are hand-printed and published by Skogens Community Press and will be available for purchase during the weekend as well as at Skogens bookstore afterward. The book *Ingen-tinget* was created in collaboration with the poet Alexander Talts.

Thanks to Stina Ehn, Eva Meyer Keller, Tuija Roberntz, and Anders Paulin for their input during the creative process.
