The exhibition invites you to meet gossiping sparrows, peek into rats’ tunnels, and discover the city’s secret inhabitants as they ride the tram, sneak through the park, or feast on cinnamon buns.
An exhibition filled with humour, knowledge and wow-facts – for children and adults alike. And suddenly, the city might look just a little bit different.
Plan your visit
Many people want to visit the sparrows, foxes and rats in Animals in the City – that is why we allow visitors in smaller groups, so that everyone has a good experience. You therefore need to book a time slot before your visit.
Booking a ticket
Booking a ticket for Animals in the City is done on the same day, directly at the museum. You book your time slot when you buy your ticket or show your annual pass at the museum. You will then receive a physical ticket that you can hand in to the host on site at the exhibition. Admission is every quarter of an hour and a visit lasts approximately 45 minutes.
We want everyone to have time to discover, explore and learn in peace and quiet – and the exhibition will remain on display for a long time, so you will have time to come back again! The exhibition will be open until January 9, 2028.
