The students on the MFA in Contemporary Performative Arts, Academy of Music and Drama at the University of Gothenburg, have spent two years working on an artistic research project and are presenting their processes through installations and performances. Their master’s projects are presented at Atalante, Skogen, Lagerhuset Library, Naturhistoriska museet, and Valandkvarteret at Vasagatan 50 between February 16 and 27.

Me When I Listen combines sonic, visual and live elements in a three-dimensional collage, reflecting on the nostalgia and sensation of growing up as a fractured, hyper-mediated self online. The performance examines how individualized digital experiences can take on tangible form through acts of vulnerable sharing and communal witnessing. In a time of neo-spiritualism, it asks: Is the neo-church online? And can I go?
