About GO club

Approximately once a month, the Small Stage is transformed into the GO Club. Have a drink, relax and enjoy good food and new and surprising musical encounters. Musicals, jazz, pop, ballads and poetry – enjoy delicious food and drink combined with live music. Arrive early and eat before the live entertainment starts, or at any time during the evening. The bar is open for food, snacks and drinks throughout the evening, even after the entertainment starts.

GO club opens at 18:00 along with the kitchen and bar and at 19:00 the live entertainment begins. Free admission between 21:00–22:00 after the live music ends.

You can access the Small Stage via the main entrance and foyer. The Small Stage entrance is the to the left of the Opera Shop and box office. Ask one of the Opera’s staff and they will be happy to guide you.

September 7 – Beyond a wide ocean

An evening at the club with music related to emigration or being far from one’s homeland.

Klezmer! The Gothenburg quartet Zimmes fills GO club with contemporary klezmer music – Jewish traditional music with elements of rock, punk, and pop. Attitude and euphoria!

October 26 – Paula and Pållan

In connection with the premiere of the new opera Mythomania by Paula Malmborg Ward and Kerstin Perski, the Opera invites the composer to the club evening. During the evening, you will also hear music from Mythomania, as well as a conversation with the composer about the process of writing a new opera.

December 1 – Temptation

The evening before the premiere for Mozart’s opera Don Giovanni singers from the Göteborg Opera will prepare with a seductive evening of attractive, sensual music.
