Gothenburg Book Fair 2022

The book fair is the Nordic region’s largest meeting place for the written word.

Gothenburg Book Fair 2022, the 38th in a row, will be a grand return at The Swedish Exhibition & Congress Centre in Gothenburg on September 22–25! This year, there is a special focus on South Africa, the Climate Crisis, Crimetime, as well as Voices from Ukraine as an extra theme.

The Book Fair Play is today an integrated part of the fair, and many seminars and stage programmes will be broadcasted live from the website and will also remain for viewing afterwards.

The Göteborg Book Fair is the most important event in Scandinavia for people in the book business. It is also a manifestation of arts and culture, a four day long literary festival, a tribute to freedom of expression and a place for readers and writers to meet and celebrate the power of stories.

It started in 1985 as a conference for librarians with 5,000 visitors the first time, the fair now gathers about 85,000 teachers, librarians and book lovers every year.

Specific opening hours for industry and the public will be published on the book fair’s website.

Early Bird discount on all tickets and seminar cards until June 30.
