Now, she takes yet another musical leap with her most powerful and funky album to date: Sonicwonderland.
Hiromi describes the nine tracks on the album as a “new adventure journey” – a journey that took shape in her imagination. As melodies, phrases, and tones formed in her mind, she began to envision musicians who could realize this specific sound. “Making a record is like directing a film; I am the director looking for the perfect actor for each role.” In her new band, Hiromi’s Sonicwonder, she has gathered bassist Hadrien Feraud, drummer Gene Coye, and trumpeter Adam O’Farrill.
