The exhibition brings together different works, fragments and shared experiences, allowing personal histories to meet those of others. Rather than fixing home to one place, Milton treats it as something that keeps moving, gathering & changing along the way. He explores how a sense of home travels with us, changes with distance, and is rebuilt through memory and encounter.

Milton Mondal

Milton Mondal makes work around places that are difficult to leave behind. Home appears frequently in his practice, although it is rarely a comfortable or permanent place. A house may become a memory, a landscape may become an archive, and something deeply personal can unexpectedly belong to many people.

His work has been presented in Norway at Høstutstillingen at Kunstnernes Hus, Norske Grafikere, Gamle Munch Kunsthall, Foreningen Trykkeriet and Oscarshall. Internationally, his work has appeared at Galeria ASP in Krakow, CVA Gallery at Metropolitan State University of Denver, the Lalit Kala Akademi Print Biennale in India, and in a number of other exhibitions.

Milton is currently part of IN SITU, the European Platform for Artistic Creation in Public Space, from 2025 to 2028. This ongoing context connects closely with the direction his practice is taking now, where the studio is no longer the only place in which a work begins or ends. Public space, conversation, participation and collaboration are becoming increasingly present, while the questions of home, memory and movement continue to travel with the work.
