Their third album, “Humankind,” is the group’s most ambitious project yet – recorded over five days at the legendary Atlantis Studio, with guest musicians joining the septet to bring Johan’s new compositions to life without compromise.
Since the last album, Johan has been in constant motion: releasing a sixth record with Tonbruket, composing for Norrbotten Big Band, and producing acclaimed albums for Lisa Nilsson, Isabella Lundgren, Rebecka Törnqvist and Weeping Willows.
Debuting in 2018 with Music for Empty Halls (Grammy-nominated and awarded “Group of the Year” by Swedish Radio), the septet went on to win a Swedish Grammy for Best Jazz Album in 2022 with On the Asylum — featuring Elvis Costello.
