Level 42
Formed in 1979 by Mark King, Phil Gould, Boon Gould, and Mike Lindup, Level 42 debuted a few years later with their self-titled album. Initially known as a jazz-funk band, their sound gradually shifted towards pop-rock. In 1985, the group made their breakthrough with “Something About You,” which sold over five million copies worldwide. They went on to achieve great success throughout the 80s and 90s with hits like “Lessons in Love,” “Running in the Family,” and their iconic “Something About You.”
By the late 80s, the Gould brothers left the band, leading to a fluctuating lineup. Today, seven members drive the music forward, and Level 42 continues to tour the world with great success.
