Lights in Alingsås 2023

On October 6, Alingsås Energi will inaugurate the twenty-fourth edition of Lights in Alingsås with the theme “Rays of light – one peace at a time” which is about letting the light break through – one peace at a time. Find more information about this year’s theme on Lights in Alingsås website.

The Light installations

Lights in Alingsås is a lighting design event in which lighting designers from across the globe illuminate urban environments together with international students through a workshop. The workshop lasts for one week and ends with the grand opening. The installations can be seen throughout the month of October.

This year’s lighting trail is two kilometers long featuring six installations spread out through the heart of Alingsås. Visitors will see a mix of cityscapes, nature, waterways.

Experience on your own

Walking and seeing the installations on your own is for free. The installations are lit from dusk to dawn and follow the usual streetlights’ rhythm every day from October 6 to November 5. You choose which time that suits you the best to visit the event.
