About the competition
Mölndal Open Water is a newly established open water swimming competition, where the focus is on the joy of swimming and safety, both for participants and spectators. The event is organised by Mölndals Allmänna Simsällskap, in the beautiful Lake Stensjön – perfect for both new and experienced open water swimmers.
Three different race distances are offered:
- 500 meters – perfect for younger participants and beginners.
- 1000 meters – for those aiming for Göteborgsklassikern.
- 2500 meters – for experienced open water swimmers.
Part of Göteborgsklassikern
Mölndal Open Water is part of Göteborgsklassikern, together with Hisningen Runt (cycling race) and Finalloppet (running race). Cycle 50 kilometers, swim 1000 meters, and run 10 kilometers to complete a “Göteborgsklassiker”.
