A new, vital wave of bands is rattling and pulsing through Gothenburg’s music scene. Uncompromising and experimental, they freely create new expressions and soundscapes. Together with High Fidelity Bookings, Pustervik has gathered three of the most influential acts of this surge.

Mud Grief

Gothenburg band Mud Grief deliver uncompromising alternative rock filled with raw energy, piercing melodies and thunderous guitars. Since their debut EP Noise Pollution (2023), they have become known for explosive live performances both at home and abroad. Their first full-length album was released in September via Welfare Sounds & Records.

The Family Men

The Family Men push the boundaries between genres, offering an unfiltered and experimental expression with samplers, broken electronics and brutal energy. Their chaotic and visually intense live shows have quickly made them one of the most talked-about acts on the Gothenburg scene.

Sylvie’s Head

Sylvie’s Head blend breakbeats, underground basslines and shredded guitars into a dark, destructive club atmosphere. With sweaty and uncompromising performances at venues such as Pustervik and Oceanen, they are leading the new wave of Gothenburg’s underground sound.
