Join us in celebration as Gothenburg Symphony’s Chief Conductor closes the season with a fireworks display of music together with the orchestra and pianist Frank Dupree!

After eight years as Chief Conductor, it is time for Santtu-Matias Rouvali to steer the journey towards new musical adventures in the world. But first, he wants to offer one of his personal favorite programme full of musical magic – and a promise to return.

It will be a journey through fast-paced Spanish folk melodies, jazz tones and piano finesse. As soloist we hear his friend Frank Dupree, the young German promise who has a parallel career as a pianist and conductor. Last year he made his solo debut with Santtu-Matias Rouvali in London. Dupree has also had mentors such as Peter Eötvös and Mario Venzago, both known to the Gothenburg audience.
