For the 23rd time, Spring Songs at Näckrosdammen takes place on Walpurgis Night! Hundreds of choir singers gather to perform the traditional spring songs.
All singers welcome – both soloists and choirs
The choir Storkören opens the event, led by Magnus Ekman, who takes the baton and guides the audience through:
- Längtan till landet (Vintern rasat…)
- Majsång (O hur härligt majsol ler…)
- Glad såsom fågeln
- Under rönn och syrén
- Uti vår hage
- Sköna Maj, välkommen
Individual choirs
After Storkören, individual choirs are invited to perform. The singing doesn’t pause for the weather! If you don’t want to sing yourself, you are warmly welcome to come and listen.
Free admission.
Picnic
If the weather allows, the evening continues with a picnic in the park – and even more singing is very welcome. Bring something nice to eat and drink, your favourite choir pieces, and perhaps a few friends or family members.
