Experience the beauty of Gothenburg’s archipelago. During this cruise of just over three hours, passengers travel through the Port of Gothenburg, from the inner harbour to the outer docks with their container and Ro-Ro vessels, before continuing out into the archipelago.
The route takes in both the northern and southern parts of Gothenburg’s archipelago. Along the way, the cruise passes Nya Älvsborg Fortress, several of the islands, and Vinga Lighthouse on the western horizon.
The journey then continues through the southern archipelago before the steamship returns via the Göta River, passes beneath the Älvsborg Bridge and concludes at Stenpiren. From mid-August, the cruise operates in the opposite direction as the evenings grow darker.

the Steamboat society,Sällskapet Ångbåten, operates summer boat traffic with the steamboat Ångaren Bohuslän. It is the west coast’s last archipelago steamer and Sweden’s largest steam-powered ship in regular operation – a living ship museum. Bohuslän runs both evening trips in the Gothenburg archipelago and longer trips to various islands and ports up north.
