After 25 years together, Reid Anderson and Dave King are bringing The Bad Plus’ journey to an end. Since forming in 2000, the band has consistently challenged the boundaries of jazz, combining original compositions with bold interpretations of artists ranging from Ornette Coleman and Cole Porter to Black Sabbath, Aphex Twin, Nirvana, and Pixies.
With their genre-defying sound and fearless creative vision, The Bad Plus have spent over two decades expanding the possibilities of modern jazz. Their acclaimed album These Are Vistas (2003) became a major breakthrough and was named by NPR as one of the most important jazz albums of the decade.
This farewell tour celebrates the band’s remarkable legacy, featuring highlights from across their career from early favourites to more recent explorations.
