The Cortège is the strongest sign of spring in Gothenburg. It’s a parade that every year since 1909 is built by Chalmerists and runs along the city’s main streets at Walpurgis Night. For ten days, approximately 1800 Chalmers students will be building their carriages at the construction site near Chalmers Johanneberg.

The parade is characterized by a big portion of spectacles, witty and youthful humour, as well as technically interesting solutions in true Chalmeristic engineering spirit.

The carriages feature self-made vehicles and other entertaining constructions with spectacles on top of trucks. The fleets are based on a news event from the past year, often in a fun or satirical way. Simply, a fun yearly recap.
