A herbarium is far more than a collection of old dried plants, algae and fungi. Each pressed specimen is a preserved moment in the history of nature – gathered by botanists, explorers and researchers over the centuries. Herbaria also play an active role in modern research, linking past discoveries with today’s science.
The exhibition is a collaboration with the Gothenburg Global Biodiversity Centre and the Sambio project.
Opens at 12:00 every day and closes when the Visitor Centre closes.
