During the sports holiday, there is the chance to meet Ron Davis Alvarez, the Gothenburg-based award-winning educator and conductor with assignments all over the world. He is one of the enthusiasts behind the Side by Side music camp at the Gothenburg Symphony Orchestra, leader of the Dream Orchestra and conductor of the Sports Holiday Orchestra 2026.
In February every year, young musicians aged 11-19 gather in the Gothenburg Concert Hall and form the popular Sports Holiday Orchestra. The orchestra is not afraid to take on everything from film and television game music to Bach, Shostakovich or Carmen.
