Youth athletics competition

Gothenburg Youth Games 2023

The competition is arranged for the 28th year, on June 30–July 2.

The fascination with the Gothenburg Youth Games (Världsungdomsspelen) is the lovely mix of competitors. You can see established world stars at one end of the arena while enthusiastic beginners crowd at the other. Year after year, the competition takes on an increasingly international character. The proportion of foreign participants is rising steadily, which means increasingly fierce competition. Most recently, 40 % of the participants were from abroad.

The Gothenburg Youth Games was first held in 1996. Today it is the largest annual Track and Field Meet in Europe. 3.500 athletes from 375 different clubs (spanning over 20 nations) makes more than 8.000 starts over three actionpacked days.

The registration will open on March 1.

Location: Slottsskogsvallen.
Free admission for spectators.
