One of Europe’s best festivals takes over Slottsskogen city park!
Since 2007, the music and film festival has drawn visitors from across Sweden and far beyond, filling Gothenburg and Slottsskogen with unforgettable experiences. It is a must for every music-loving, culture-minded young minds.
The programme includes a line-up of Swedish and international acclaimed stars. It also offers film premieres, great vegetarian food and a robust club programme called “Stay Out West” that takes place at night in central Gothenburg.

About Way Out West
Since its launch in 2007, Way Out West has welcomed artists such as Prince, Charli XCX, Erykah Badu, Kendrick Lamar, Florence + The Machine, Neil Young, Fred again.., Tame Impala, Alicia Keys, Chappell Roan, Frank Ocean, Robyn, The xx, Patti Smith, Solange and The Cure, among many others. The three-day, multi-genre festival takes place in Slottsskogen, a large park in the heart of Gothenburg. From here, much of the city is within walking distance, while trams, buses and ferries provide easy access to destinations across Gothenburg.
Sustainability has been a central focus of Way Out West since the festival was launched in 2007. Environmental and social responsibility are integrated into many aspects of the event, with ongoing efforts to reduce its impact and contribute to a more sustainable future. The festival also features a food programme that is just as carefully curated as its music line-up.
