Summer aboard Maritiman

Welcome aboard Gothenburg’s maritime adventure museum

Now Maritiman is finally open every day, throughout the whole summer. So sign up for an adventure at sea – guaranteed without scurvy and seasickness!

Activities aboard

At Maritiman, there is usually full speed ahead with both children’s activities and guided tours every day. But now during the pandemic, program activities that could contribute to increased congestion have been paused. Instead, there are digital activities on board, where you can explore the ships on your own with the help of an audio guide or quiz. Tim’s ocean lab with eleven different stations is also available for laboratory work that you can perform yourself. Maritiman’s guides also do spontaneous guided tours and activities for individual groups. They are more than happy to share their knowledge, answer questions and give you their best tips.

Freshwater – a world of life

Take the opportunity to visit the exciting traveling exhibition Fresh water – a world of life that takes you on a breathtaking journey of discovery, both above and below the water surface. Through the fresh water specialist, photographer and filmmaker Johan Hammar’s magical photos and films as well as a number of interactive stations, the exhibition aims to create a fascination for the fantastic aquatic environments that exist in our own country. The exhibition is produced by the Regional Museum Skåne and will be shown at Maritiman during the 2021.
