Lovisa Mattisson’s work Drömmar explores the changing course of events and properties of dreams, memories that are processed during the night, and the different stages of sleep. In a solo, with music and sound by Gustav Lejelind, these different states are examined in an atmospheric setting. Moments where dreams sometimes feel more real than reality, and the feeling that can persist after waking up. During the residency, the work focuses on building a feeling and scenography that invites and reinforces the experience of being in the middle of a dream. Sound and music is created by Gustav Lejelind.
In What if?, Ami Skånberg brings together fragments from her performing arts practice since 1987 in preparation for her 40th anniversary as an artist in 2027. Can a Japanese dance fan coexist with punk and Alf Robertson? And does a surfboard have something to say? How might the current political climate and her intensive workshop with Deborah Hay at Vitlycke in September influence the project? During the residency, the work focuses on bringing movement, video, music, objects and memories into unexpected encounters. By experimenting with different performative materials and associations, the project explores how an artistic life can be reflected through fragments, allowing humour, seriousness and curiosity to coexist as new narratives emerge.
