Feskekôrka will be closed from September 1 2020 for a thorough refurbishment. New opening is planned for 2023. For more information, see Higab's website.
Feskekôrka was built in 1874 and was an architectural experiment by the city architect Victor von Gegerfelt. He was inspired by the wooden Norwegian stave churches and Gothic stone churches. The idea was to have a room without pillars.
