Over an intense autumn week Gothenburg design festival yet again invites the public to explore the intersecting fields of design, art, crafts, fashion and architecture.
The festival covers Gothenburg as an open mobile collaborative laboratory that investigates what design is, if and why it is significant and for whom. Through exhibitions, classes, workshops, talks and the unexpected, the festival initiates and supports a wide-ranging curious public discussion about sustainable development and future design, art, crafts and architecture. In collaboration with state schools, cultural organisations, staff, students, alumni, as well as local and international practitioners and experts, this years festival program challenges established fields of knowledge and encourages you to see, think, make and reflect.
Gothenburg design festival is produced by HDK – the Academy of design and crafts – as a knowledge based open plattform for exchange, artistic experimentation och mutual learning.
All activities during Gothenburg design festival are free of charge and open to participation.
