A festivity for Gothenburg
Each year, around 1700 teams from 80 nations take part and they play 4500 games on 110 pitches. Gothia Cup impacts the whole city of Gothenburg during one week in July, with 35.000 participants and almost as many families and supporters, who liven up the city with colours, music and cultures from all parts of the world.
Gothia Heden Center
The heart of the tournament is at Heden. The main arena, SKF Arena, is built in the city center only for Gothia Cup, with a capacity of nearly 8.000 people. From early morning to late night, Heden is filled by the most entertaining youth football you can imagine and the event area offers meals and drinks, besides different activities for both children and adults.
Gothia Kviberg Center
The largest playing field is located in Kviberg, with 27 pitches spreading over an area of 1,5 kilometers. A dream for every football enthusiast.
Gothia Opening Ceremony
The main event of the week, is the Gothia Opening Ceremony, Monday July 19th at 8 pm, when 50.000 people gathers at Ullevi in a spectacular manifestation of joyfulness, togetherness and love for the game.
Finals
Saturday July 24th is the day where all the gold medal games is played, at Gamla Ullevi and SKF Arena at Gothia Heden Center.
Information for the public
Due to the Corona pandemic, Gothia Cup will adapt the event according to the recommendations of the Public Health Agency of Sweden. Information about the access for the public will be announced closer to the event.
