Pater Noster

Once, this barren rocky island off Sweden’s west coast was feared by sailors. Then the Pater Noster lighthouse was built, guiding ships safely through the waters. For more than a hundred years, lighthouse keepers lived here, exposed to the whims of wind and weather. Today, the Pater Noster archipelago is an exclusive destination for nature lovers and adventurers in search of something truly out of the ordinary.
After a careful restoration, the former lighthouse keeper’s dwelling has been transformed into an award‑winning hotel. It has received international recognition, including being named “Best Hotel Concept in the World”, as well as winning Sweden’s Grand Tourism Award and the prize “The Special One”.
